It goes without saying that binge eating can cause many problems - and there could be underlying psychological and mental issues that would need to be addressed.
But a study by the University of North Carolina, has stated that binge eaters are more than twice as likely to have hormonal problems, and nearly as many circulation problems.
Sufferers who are obese - and naturally being overweight is probably the main issue surrounding bine eaters - are at a much greater risk of having breathing problems and intestinal problems.
Doctor Cynthia Bulik, the study author, concluded:
"preventing or successfully treating binge eating may have important clinical implications".
I have to say, the dangers of over eating and obesity is so well researched these day, and conclusions are so well known,, I am surprised that funding for something as mundane as this study was found. There does not appear to be anything knew that has come out of this study - but I guess, it does back up all the other conclusions.
We need to intervene, with a proactive approach.
